Overview: Locomotives International magazine was launched in October 1989 by the late Donald Binns. After over twenty years as an important part of the railway publishing scene, it was taken over and successfully relaunched by current owners Mainline & Maritime in late 2012. A year later, in November 2013, it took over the publication of material formerly published in the Continental Railway Journal, the one-time house magazine of the Continental Railway Circle.
