Fire & Food – No. 1 2020
Germany’s great BBQ boom is definitely over. However, that doesn’t mean that sales of barbecue appliances and food are stagnating or even falling. Quite the opposite: the market is nowhere near saturated. It’s just that grilling and BBQ s have come to be taken for granted, pulled pork or brisket doesn’t cause a stir these days.
To keep people interested, the BBQ industry needs lots of innovative strength to draw attention to itself again. New BBQ techniques such as grilling with pellets, which already has a market share of approximately 15% in the USA, will give us fresh momentum. That’s why most BBQ manufacturers have already decided to launch pellet grills more intensively on the European market in 2020. For us as a European BBQ magazine, our task is to communicate this trend, not just in Germany but throughout the whole of Europe. That’s why we’re publishing an initial FIRE&FOOD business edition in English this year. It’s intended as a source of inspiration and information for companies and employees in the BBQ industry and retail trade.
In addition to the issue of pellet grills, this edition also contains many more trends for the 2020 barbecue season. Whether BBQ appliances or accessories, we are eagerly waiting to see what’s heading towards customers in 2020.
For the time being, the FIRE&FOOD business edition will be published at the beginning of each year. The edition is available from all digital FIRE&FOOD sales partners and from the FIRE&FOOD shop at www-fire-food.com.
We hope that this edition provides you with interesting features and an overview of the European BBQ business as well as plenty of inspiration so your BBQ business is a success in 2020.
Wishing you continued sizzling success with your barbecue business.
