Canadian Living – March 2020
Are you ready yet? At Canadian Living, we’re beyond tired of the madness that is a Canadian winter. But while spring is on the horizon, it’s a certainty that there’s at least one last gasp yet in Old Man Winter. The anticipation of the holiday season has nothing on our wait for him to relinquish our surroundings to Mother Nature’s more beneficent hands, so that she can color our world with the delicate shades of burgeoning blossoms and verdant leaves.
With this issue, we’re saying a subtle “shake a leg” to spring and prepping for the season of renewal. In our Fashion & Beauty section, we’re featuring masks to rejuvenate every skin type and get rid of that pallid complexion that’s all too visible when we look in the mirror right now. We’ve also got new looks for the indispensable jean jacket, our wardrobe staple for iffy weather.
Our Super food column focuses on grapefruit, a healthy, energizing food that evokes the tropics, while spring cleaning is top of mind in our Home & Garden section, as is inspiration for a bathroom revamp in our story “Bathrooms Made Beautiful,” starting on page 64.
And in our Cook & Eat department, the fresh flavors of our weeknight go-tos, as well as our new ways with avocado and celeriac, will surely find their way to your plate for the first alfresco meal of the year.
Here’s to the season ahead—and the warm welcome it brings.
